Oo la la!!

"What is Chris doing?" I hear you ask yourself....

Well it just so happens that he is hugging a random Frenchman in the middle of Lyon. Weird, I know, but the guy was giving out free hugs, so Chris gave him a massive bear hug and swung him around 5 times. Poor French dude...he looked a bit green after that!

So, in case you didn't know, we actually spent the last weekend in France visiting my sister Kaitlyn who is currently studying in Lyon.

Here we are on a big Ferris Wheel at Place Bellecour:

We spent a lot of time using public transport. The subway system was the cleanest I've seen in any city so far! However, at times we were still a bit confused.

We were able to meet up with some friends, Kari and Jonathan, who live in Lyon but are from Georgia(Kari) and Iowa(Jonathan) and Chris and I met Kari in Senegal. Phew - does that make sense to anyone?

Anyway, we all went out for dinner at a Senegalese restaurant and enjoyed a lot of laughs and some yummy Yassa Poulet!

We went to the park as well and had a few adventures, i.e. the scary toilet which was just a hole in the ground and flushed halfway through ... well, you know(!), the lemurs, pelicans and monkey with a poorly bum (don't ask) and mini cotton candy which was bigger than all our heads put together!

And one night Kaitlyn took us up to see this:

and the view was amazing!

And this, although a bit blurry, is for anyone who's ever seen the movie 'Elf'!
