Greece 2006

Well this is a summary of our trip to the Greek Island of Thassos last week. We had been once before two years ago, but this time we went along with Chris' parents, Martin and Maureen.

It was not the smoothest trip ever, but once we got there, it was pretty nice!

This was taken at the airport during our 19 1/2 hour delay! I'd really rather not go into the details.

After about 12 hours in the terminal, they decided that they needed to do something to calm down the tired, hungry and frustrated passengers who were about to form a small rebellion, so they sent us to the Hilton for a meal. Only it took another hour to go through passport control!

Here we are bleary eyed after our meal, half awake, half asleep.

Once we finally made it to the island, Chris decided to get down to business!

Dinner at a taverna on our first night. By this time, I think we'd been awake for about 48 hours.

We very soon caught up on sleep and decided to really get into holiday mode. Ice cream cones and all! (By the way, Chris is not actually that short!)

They decided to race into the ocean...

We took a tour around the island one day in a rented car and saw lots of interesting things...

These are just a few photos to give you a feel of our trip. It did however rain NON STOP on our last day! And then we came back to hot and sunny England!? Go figure!
