Erin was a fantastic tour guide and we saw loads of sights, even though she assured us there was still a lot more to see!
Our first stop was the astronomical clock - a bit of a weird constrast with the 12 apostles coming out every hour holding weapons and a skeleton ringing the bill. Supposedly comunnism has left a bit of a morbid taste in the Czechs' mouths.
Here Erin and I are next to the Charles Bridge overlooking the Vlatva River which had burst its banks!
A lot of restaurants and bars along the banks of the river were completely flooded.
The architecture was pretty amazing, a lot of it was quite Gothic in style.
Our first Czech meal: basically meat, dumplings and sauerkraut...oh yeah, and beer.
Prost, cheers, salute,...... or whatever they say in Czech! Oh yeah, and we found out the camera doesn't take very good pictures inside a building.
Day 2: A trip to Prague Castle up a very steep hill!
Hey, they are just like the guards at Buckingham Palace - except slightly scarier!
Prague Castle is huge and consists of loads and loads of different buildings and things. Its like a mini-city in itself! This was a cathedral in the castle grounds. It was very cold inside!

You may think this one is a bit strange - two random men walking by the cathedral. But it was in fact, as Chris tells me, Dom Jolly from Trigger Happy TV. And there was a camera crew filiming! I was extremely disappointed though, as I realised that it was completely scripted (think British version of Candid Camera). How disappointing to realise that I had been so gullable, thinking that other people were so gullable! Anyway, at this precise moment, Mr Jolly, on the left, was telling his 'victim' that in the 14th century they put little cloth shoes on chipmunks, who would run up and down the cathedral cleaning all the stained glass windows. So make sure you catch that episode, and you might even see the three of us!
Here we are, still in the castle, in front of a building, which I can't remember what it was except that it was very cold inside!

Then Chris sent us to our rightful place - the kitchen! Actually, it was Erin's first attempt at her mom's amazing vegetable lasagne!

That night we went out to the Reduta Jazz Club, which was really fun! Turned out its a regular spot for Mr Clinton when he's on his way through Eastern Europe.
Day 3 began with some more meat and bread, and you can actually see the pig we ate twirling around in the background!
After some crazy random downpour, we finally reached the 'Fred and Ginger' building. Ginger is the one on the right....
Then the sun came out to dry us off!
Then we went on a monorail up a hill to a park called Petrin. And there was a mirror maze there. So we reverted to childlike beings and ran around in it for ages!
That night, we went to see 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' in Czech with English subtitles. I have seen some weird plays in my time, but I think this one takes the cake! It was set in an office, and the 'play within a play' was a Czech rap / rock concert. But it was a very interesting experience!
